Holistic Anti-Cellulite Massage

If you want to fight cellulite naturally, I present the anti-cellulite massage! With it, you can get firm skin andliminate accumulated fat in specific areas. In addition, it promotes the reabsorption and drainage of liquids, releasing fatty acids and toxins accumulated in the area to be treated.

Not to mention that, as it is a massage, it is an excellent opportunity to rebalance the body and achieve a state of well-being.

For the anti-cellulite massage, I use a special preparation full of healing properties:

  • As a base: sesame vegetable oil, rich in zinc, one of the most valuable minerals for the skin. I also use hazelnut vegetable oil, which improves collagen production, prevents and reduces stretch marks, fights orange peel skin, helps reduce cellulite and firms the skin.

  • Essential oils: To this mixture of oils, I add a few drops of geranium essential oil, which helps reduce fluid retention (one of the factors that worsen cellulite). It has anti-inflammatory properties and helps balance hormone levels, which is critical in Chinese medicine to combat cellulite. In addition, I use rosemary essential oil, which is a natural remedy for cellulite. I also use lemon essential oil, which cleanses toxins from the body, stimulates lymphatic drainage, and purifies the skin. Lastly, I use lavender essential oil, which is one of the best choices for the skin and boosting the growth of new cells, making it a very good choice for anti-cellulite massage.

If you are curious about the power of essential oils, here is another article in which I tell you how to use them in my massages.

Once a harmonious space is created, I start the anti-cellulite massage with slow and deep movements, where I use manipulations of the hands and forearm, exerting pressure in order to eliminate toxins. With these movements, I stimulate the tissues and make the active substances penetrate.

I continue with the same manipulations, but more quickly, to activate circulation, improve blood flow, and drain accumulated fluids.

Gua Sha

My second ally in anti-cellulite massages is gua sha. Another holistic technique with many benefits. Among many, it helps to reduce the appearance of cellulite through the pressure exerted that multiplies the action of the hands, reducing the size of the adipocyte and releasing the fat, which will be drained. Gua sha is so powerful that it can remove inflammation from the entire skin.

Cupping

Finally, I use the cupping technique, as it helps stimulate circulation and the body’s natural detoxification process. Cupping produces a vacuum that sucks up the skin, thereby improving blood circulation and breaking down fat deposits that cause cellulite. I clarify that it is possible for circular bruises to form as a result of the practice, but it is nothing to worry about, this is because red blood cells are transported into the blood to heal the skin. If there is something that needs to be treated, the bruise will continue until it heals.

Constancy

To get the best results in an anti-cellulite massage, it is important to be consistent in the sessions, which are recommended once a week for 10 to 15 weeks. In addition, eating a proper diet that helps eliminate toxins, doing some physical activity and maintaining good hydration is crucial, since massage removes a lot of body fluid.

It is important to remember that anti-cellulite massage is a complementary treatment to other weight loss treatments and that, thanks to its simplicity and naturalness, it provides a relaxing experience of balance and well-being.

Contraindications

There are some contraindications that you should be aware of, for example, bamboo therapy is not recommended for people with diabetes, thrombosis, cancer, fever and infectious processes.

Gua sha is contraindicative for people with hemophilia, boils, skin diseases, acne, thrombosis, varicose veins and very recent scars. As for cupping, they are not recommended for people with very sensitive skin types, circulation problems and skin pain, and their practice is not recommended for pregnant women.
